Faeries in My Garden!

If Friends Were Flowers, I Would Pick YOU!

There is nothing better than getting out into the garden, weeding, planting, and creating a vegie patch!

We have been at home these school holidays, so Miss 12 decided on our trip to the local nursery that she wanted to use some of her birthday money to make a vegie patch down the back of our garden! Good on her me thinks!

She chose mint, sweet basil, rosemary and Italian parsley, as well as capsicum. carrots, tomatoes, blueberries, strawberries, watermelon, cantelope and a lime tree! The recent wet weather has been fabulous for the garden. I love it when it rains, don't you? The smell of the garden, the sound of the rain on the roof, there is something mystical and relaxing about that.

For me, getting into the garden is my "me time". I find it very meditative, rewarding and digging is good, especially if you are feeling a bit cranky (good advice from a friend!). Not that I get very cranky often, but hey, who doesn't love a good dig! Oh....and not to mention plants don't talk back! ....or maybe they do? ... but just not as loudly as the kids!

So, back to the gardening.... here are our results...

Whilst I am at it, I thought that I would also show you my little "verandah space". It's there to welcome friends, as well as create a little "Faerie" haven. They live in the garden you know! Do you have Faeries in your garden? On a sunny day, it is a beautiful place to sit and read, or just watch the world go by. My beautiful late Mum's rocking chair is my favourite place to sit. I feel very contemplative and peaceful there. Do you have a "special" space where you like to sit and contemplate?

If you haven't already guessed, I LOVE FLOWERS! I love their colour, their perfume, and the vibrant energy they bring to a garden, or inside your home in your favourite vase! To me flowers represent the "joy" of life, the" blooming" of something special! Just like you!

I adore the smell of freshly picked lavender from the garden. When I took this picture at home, I just happened to catch a bee going about his/her business! I just LOVE this photo!

In searching for that sacred place to just "Be", why don't you find a special spot in your garden, and turn it into "Your Space". I look forward to seeing your photos of your new space, or your existing one!

Happy Contemplating My Lovelies!

Blessings!
