Vintage 1920's Flapper Glamour

"A well dressed Woman, even though her purse is painfully
empty, can conquer the world!"
- Louise Brooks .

The Gorgeous LOUISE BROOKS!!! My favourite pinup "Flapper Girl" of the 1920's.

The 1920's was an era of FUN! FUN! FUN! The war was over and the "Flapper girl" emerged like a butterfly from a cocoon!

Hairstyles were short...

Cloche hats were in......

 Heavily beaded flapper dresses &
long fur trimmed coats were the rage.....

The Charlestone rocked the dance floor...

It was the "Jazz Age"...

....and the Twenties ROARED!!!

In Australia, we have been lucky to have some great TV series that have showcased superb 1920's costumes. These include:

"Underbelly Razor"

Costume Designer: Louise Wakefield
Hair & Make-up Designer: Angela Conte

                AND...

"Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries"

Costume Designer: Marion Boyce

I just LOVE the 1920's!!! Do you have a favourite era? I would love to hear!

With Love,
Miss Penni xxx
